A day away :)
The eastern shore:
Well it was a strange day yesterday, but i flew out of Wellington late in the morning to the eastern coast, Napier, there only for a few hours but it was nice to watch the valleys and land drift past the window below. This land of the long white cloud sure has it all in quiet a small package, from valleys, to waterways, mountains and snow. To coastlines and farmland, it was a strange way to spend the day, really just going from one airport to another, but i enjoyed watching the change in the sky as I went further north. After Napier, I flew northwards around 4pm. with the sunset coming on, one could see harbors and deep valleys. Who knows what or who was looking up as we flew over the top. Coming into Auckland, Domestic just before sunset, one flight left and I know it will be southward in the dark: About an hour to wait till that last one, so i found a nice little place to put the feet up and relax for a while. Seeing the lights of the passing towns and cities as we flew south was nice, trying to make out the shapes of the land below.Coming back home on the final river of lights flying in from the north over the city of Wellington, it was a good little game to try and guess what part of the city we were up to from the lights and what I could see past them. ….. Landing, home, back in the bay :) Always very nice !
